Good Girl Recovery Program

From people-pleasing to powerful—on your terms.

The Good Girl Recovery Program is a year-long course that gives you the structure, support and practical tools to stop people-pleasing, start having your own back and truly own your life.

Imagine:

What would life feel like if you finally got over your perfectionism and reclaimed your energy?

If you evolved past Good Girl into a Grown-ass Adult?

When the doctor brushes off your concerns, you don’t shrink—you ask the follow-up questions and insist on the test. Calmly. Without apologizing.

You get asked to join a committee at work and you say, “Thanks for thinking of me, but I’m at capacity right now.” And you don’t spiral about it afterward.

You realize mid-date that you’re not into it, and instead of trying to be polite for another hour, you say, “I think I’m going to call it a night.”

Your mom makes a passive-aggressive comment about your outfit, and you don’t laugh it off. You take a breath and say, “That doesn’t feel good to hear.”

You feel a familiar urge to over-explain in an email… and instead you write one clear sentence, hit send, and go about your day.

Hard to imagine yourself doing that? Yep. And it’s still 100% doable.

You’ve just been taught to play small—but that doesn’t mean you have to stay there.

Because the truth is:

Being a Good Girl comes at a huge cost to your mental and physical health, your relationships, and your day-to-day happiness.

Good Girl habits are sneaky.

You say yes with a smile, then seethe in silence. You over-apologize. You stay in draining jobs and dead-end relationships because leaving feels “selfish.” You contort yourself to be liked, then feel invisible. You bite your tongue when something feels off. You carry everyone’s feelings but your own. Bit by bit, you trade your clarity, boundaries, and joy for safety and approval.

And one day, you look around and wonder — where did I go?

Demanding that you be absolutely nice, well-mannered, modest, and selfless, the Good Girl paralyzes you with self-criticism, limits your power and potential, and stunts your capacity to learn new skills and habits.

The opposite of a Good Girl isn’t a Bad Girl.

It isn’t being a bitch.

It isn’t being a rebel.

It’s probably a lot like being you.

Except, you’ll be even more like you than you’ve ever been before.

Free. Nourished. Joyous. Whole.

Getting Past “Good” Takes Guts.

Becoming yourself isn’t easy. For most of us, being a Good Girl has been a life-long endeavor. You have lots of practice being a Good Girl and not as much practice being yourself. That’s why the Good Girl Recovery Program is a year long.

When you join the Good Girl Recovery Program, you get more than a course—you get a full year of coaching, support and community.

You’ll receive regular teaching modules, live coaching calls, guided practice labs, and cozy study halls to help you integrate what you’re learning. You’ll also get access to The Living Room—our private community space on Discord—where you can connect with me and your cohort anytime.

You’ll get tools to set boundaries without guilt, clarity about what you actually want, and the confidence to go after it. You’ll build self-trust, ease in your own skin, and a deeper sense of joy.

All of this happens at a pace that works with your real life—not in spite of it.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be ready for something different.

What You’ll Learn…

Module 1: Clear Out the Bullsh*t

Being a Good Girl takes So. Much. Energy. In this module, you'll start your shift from approval-seeking to self-trust, as we:

  • Break free from guilt, "shoulds," and silent self-sabotage.

  • Spot the sneaky ways you’ve been shrinking—and how to stop.

  • Take your first bold steps from Good Girl to grounded, grown-ass woman

Module 2: Notice Your Thickest Desires

It’s all well and good to say you should listen to your heart. But how to tell what you truly want? In this module, you will:

  • Figure out what you actually want (not what your mom, boss, or ex thinks you should).

  • Dig up your childhood joy—and use it like a compass.

  • Find your inner Hell YES and let it lead the way.

Module 3: Cultivate a glorious mess

Perfectionism is the enemy of being yourself. Often, we get so wrapped up in avoiding inadequacy, we lose access to our own power and creativity. That’s why we:

  • Let go of the myth that getting it right = being worthy.

  • Turn down the inner critic and turn up your creative power.

  • Use the Brat Box to safely blow off steam (without blowing up your life).

  • Learn why screwing up is magentic—and how to do it with style.

Module 4:
Your body Belongs to you

As a human being, you get to say what happens to your body. But a Good Girl has been taught to go along with things happening that she doesn’t want. This isn’t your fault. Find out how to:

  • Claim your body as your own—in a world that keeps telling you it belongs to everyone else.

  • Spot the moments when shame or fear make you shrink, and learn how to stay with yourself instead of disappearing.

  • Say yes with your whole body. Say no like you mean it. Practice out loud until it feels like second nature (or at least less terrifying).

Module 5:
Let in the good stuff

You’ve done the work—now can you receive all the good stuff coming your way? In this module, you’ll:

  • Uncover the sneaky ways you block yourself from receiving what you say you want—and learn how to get out of your own damn way.

  • Find love, support, and delight in places you didn’t know to look—and start letting it all the way in.

  • Redefine self-care as something deeper than bubble baths—think radical, unapologetic nourishment, on your terms.

Module 6:
Claim your sexuality

Your sexuality is yours to define, explore, and enjoy—no one else’s. In this module, you’ll:

  • Unlearn limiting beliefs and societal messages that have shaped your view of sexuality

  • Reconnect with your desires, pleasure, and boundaries—free from shame or guilt

  • Claim your sexual power with confidence, clarity, and authenticity

  • Learn to express your desires and boundaries clearly, with the confidence to ask for what you want

Module 7: Power, but Make it personal

Forget posturing and people-pleasing—it’s time to claim your power without the performance. In this module, you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize the power you already have (yes, you)

  • Use it with integrity, confidence, and zero guilt

  • Move past collapsing or overcompensating—and find your poise

Module 8: Become Yourself

Even after all this growth, the Good Girl loves a sneaky comeback. In this module, you’ll get:

  • Simple practices to stay rooted in your real, badass self

  • Sneaky signs she’s creeping back in—and how to shut it down

  • Personal rituals to ground into your Grown-Ass Adult energy

  • A custom roadmap for what’s next on your becoming journey

Why Now?

*

Why Now? *

We’re living in a moment that demands a lot from us. There’s pressure to be agreeable, to comply, to go along with things that don’t sit right. The rules about who we’re supposed to be are getting louder—and more rigid. It can feel easier to stay quiet, stay small, and hope it all blows over.

But now is not the time to shrink.

Now is the time to build our resilience. To get clear on our values. To cultivate the kind of self-trust that helps us speak up, set boundaries, and stay connected to ourselves —even when the world feels shaky.

This is a
self-acceptance program, not a self-improvement program.

It’s about fortifying ourselves so we can meet this moment with clarity, courage, and community.

You don’t have to do it alone. And you don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to start.

Hi! I’m Marcia Baczynski and here’s what I know about Good Girl-ing

On a professional level, I’ve been writing, teaching, and coaching about boundaries, communication, and being true to ourselves for 20+ years. I’m on the faculty of The School Of Consent, Shakti Shiva Academy, and the renowned Esalen Institute at Big Sur. I co-authored  Creating Consent Culture: A Handbook for Educators which is now in its second printing.

Over the past 2 decades, I’ve worked with thousands of students and clients and seen my work featured in places like The Rolling Stone, NPR, the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, GQ, Marie Claire, People, and Newsweek.

But just as importantly – I use the tools and practices I teach in the Good Girl Recovery Program on a daily basis and I’ve built a right-sized life that is deeply my own. I am the most “me” version of myself and I love who she is.

I’ve built time into my life for fun roadtrips, I have romantic relationships that excite me, and I’m delightfully engaged in the art of thrifting a cool wardrobe! I’m equally comfortable on a stage in front of hundreds of people and hanging out by myself in the woods. I finally figured out how to style my naturally curly hair. I can be assertive without being aggressive, I happily say no when something isn’t the right fit for me, and I find ways to meet both my needs and the needs of others.

And I want YOUR version of that for you, too.

FAQ

(aka: Your Good Girl has some questions)

  • We get it. This is vulnerable work, and sometimes your nervous system needs a little reassurance. That’s why we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you try it and realize it’s not the right fit, you can get a full refund. No guilt, no weirdness.

  • We know. Life gets lifey, and lots of online courses get left to collect digital dust. That’s why we’ve built in a whole year of structure, community, coaching, accountability, and actual support.

You’ll get weekly emails, live classes, coaching calls, practice labs, and co-working sessions. Even if you fall off for a while, you’ll know exactly how to come back. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up when you can.

  • You do not have to be a sex weirdo to take this course. (Though if you are, you’re in good company.) Yes, I’m known for talking frankly about sex and desire. But this course isn’t about turning you into someone you’re not—it’s about helping you become more you. You get to take what fits, leave what doesn’t, and move at your own pace.

  • You do not. This course is open to anyone who resonates with the experience of being socialized into Good Girlhood—which often overlaps with being raised as a girl and read as a woman. We welcome trans folks, nonbinary folks, and gender-expansive humans. “Woman” is a jumping-off point, not a requirement.

  • Most weeks, all you’ll need is about 90 minutes. That includes one class or call, and maybe a little time to reflect or connect with the group.

And if you miss something? You’re still in. All calls are recorded, and you’ll get weekly summaries to help you stay on track. Aaaand…. you can just jump back in whenever. This course is designed to fit into real lives—messy ones, busy ones, complicated ones. Like yours.

  • Totally fair. This is a meaningful investment—and also, it’s not just a course. It’s a full year of coaching, community, support, and actual change. You’ll get tools you’ll use for the rest of your life. If you’re used to spending money on fixing yourself or keeping everyone else happy, this might feel new. It’s okay to feel nervous. And if you need a payment plan, we’ve got one. You deserve this.

And a sidenote: a surprising side effect of reigning in Good Girl tendencies is bringing in more money. Grown Ass Adults are more likely to ask for the raise, negotiate for a higher salary, or return that blender that broke after two weeks. In a previous round of GGRP, a student actually covered the cost of the program when we all told her to list her car for more than she had planned!

  • You sure can. Marcia is available for inquiry calls. Just pick a time and schedule here.

Scoop up your spot today.

If you’re ready for a life where you stop second-guessing yourself, where “no” rolls off your tongue without guilt, and where you trust your wants instead of dismissing them—then the Good Girl Recovery Program is for you.

If you’re ready to stop performing perfection, start living on your own terms, and feel supported every step of the way, you’re in the right place.

This is your space to get clear, get messy, get free—and become even more you than you’ve ever been before.

Let’s do this together.
